our mission
The Kindness Project assists those in crisis, hardship, and poverty within our local community with the essential necessities for survival while working with other local organizations to provide resources for those wanting to rebuild or transform their lives.

• We help people experiencing homelessness by providing food, water, clothing, blankets, hygiene kits, etc.
• Weekly on Saturdays & Sundays we prepare and provide a hot meal to anyone who needs it.
• We support, encourage, and listen to those we serve and each other while treating all individuals with compassion & dignity.
• We drive our clients without transportation to doctors, court, rehab, showers, haircuts, and other nonprofits.
• We manage the donations received in a responsible manner, for the good of the community.
• If we receive a donation that we cannot use, we bless another local Hickory organizations with these items.
• As we grow, we are continuing to learn and find other organizations we partner with in our Hickory area community.

The Kindness Project works out of Highland United Methodist Church at 1020 12th St. Pl. NE, Hickory, NC 28601
